ClipCut

ClipCut is a video editing tool that automates the preprocessing of film footage, focusing on technical tasks that streamline the editing workflow. Designed for projects ranging from animation to feature films, ClipCut performs background noise suppression and stabilization to enhance the visual and auditory quality of raw footage. It also includes scene detection, which uses OpenCV to identify transitions between scenes and automatically cuts segments, creating discrete, manageable clips for editors.

Additionally, ClipCut generates detailed transcriptions for each clip using OpenAI Whisper, allowing editors to quickly reference dialogue and context. Each scene’s transcript is paired with a sentiment analysis, providing insight into the emotional tone of the scene. This feature is especially useful for editors working with large volumes of footage, as it allows them to quickly grasp the mood and purpose of each segment without extensive manual review.
